TEMPORARY SERVICES COMPUTERIZES SYSTEM
Western Temporary Services of Wytheville has computerized its system for matching skills with job requirements. The system not only tests the clerical skills of job applicants, but can also tutor them in a variety of the most widely used software programs, said service owner Faye Sutherland.
"In essence, we are able to design tests that are unique to the client's particular needs and match those requirements with the skills of our temporary employees," she said. "We'll add the ability to assign temporary workers to clients based on the results of their company's own individual evaluation program."
The Wytheville branch of Western Temporary Services is located on the third floor of the Dominion Bank building. It has been here for five years and recently added a recruiting office in Marion for potential employees from Smyth and Washington counties.
