An armed robbery in Catawba is the subject of this month's Crime Line.
On Dec. 14, 1992, at 6:30 p.m., a residence in the 5500 block of Moses Family Road in the Catawba section of Roanoke County was robbed at gunpoint. The robber bound the residents with duct tape and stole some cash. He was described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue jacket and ski mask.
Rewards of up to $1,000 are being offered for information that leads to arrest and indictment in connection with this and other crimes. Anyone with information may call 344-8500 and give the information anonymously. The caller is given a number that is used for identification and need not give a name.
