VEGETABLE PRODUCTION PROGRAM SCHEDULED

The Montgomery County Extension Service is sponsoring an educational program on commercial vegetable production Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Christiansburg Middle School cafeteria.

Dr. Charlie O'Dell, Extension Vegetable Specialist at Virginia Tech, will discuss new vegetable varieties, production requirements and marketing opportunities for asparagus and other high-value specialty crops.

Fred Givens of Misty Mountain Farm will talk about how he successfully markets vegetables at farm festival days.
