WRESTLING MATCHES PLANNED IN NEWPORT
American Championship Wrestling returns to the Newport Recreation Center tonight at 8:15 with several matches on the card.
In the main event, "Bruiser" Bob Ross and Iceman McClanahan take on Ivan Koloff and the 400-pound Rolling Thunder.
Two title matches will also be featured. The Terminator meets Joe Powers for the Universal TV Title. Also, Dorty Reid defends his NAWA Championship against Roger Anderson in a no-disqualification match.
In the opener, Fritz Brady takes on the Eliminator. Also, Studly Steve and Cowboy Ray Odyssey face Eclipso and L.L. Cool, and Psycho meets Avalanche.
Advance tickets are $6 and are available at Hilltop Grocery in Pembroke.
Admission at the door is $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Preschoolers will be admitted free.
