OBIT-WOOD, WILLIAM MAYNARD

WOOD, William Maynard, 48, of Salem, died Friday, March 12, 1993, at his home. He was employed with A.T. & T. He was a trustor of Valley Word Ministries. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Smith Wood; his mother, Mamie Hopkins Wood of Woolwine; two brothers, Bill Wood of Ferrum and Lester Wood of Woolwine; one sister, Betty Marr of Roanoke; five nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 1993, at noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Curtis Gray officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 1993, at 1 p.m. at the Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after each service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Good Samaritan Hospice or to Valley Word Ministries. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Salem Chapel.
