OBIT PETERS, ARCHIE LEMON
PETERS, Archie Lemon, 83, of Route 2, Ferrum, died Sunday evening, March
15, 1993, in Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin County,
August 30, 1909, the son of the late Hayneous Bailey and Virgie Sloan Peters
and was married to the former Onie F. Shively who survives. Additional
survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Iris and Ray McCulley of
Moneta; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Goldie and Mawyer Brogan of
Bassett, Gracie Scott, Jessie Young and Ruby James, all of Ferrum; two
sisters-in-law, Christine Peters of Bassett, Mildred Peters of Richmond; a
brother-in-law, Murphy Shively; two grandchildren, Debbie Conroy and Gary
Hale. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11 a.m. from Lynch Funeral
Home Chapel by the Revs. John Ingram and Bud Nichols, with interment to follow
in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Lynch
Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
