OBIT MICHAEL, SELMA TUTTLE COLLINS

MICHAEL, Selma Tuttle Collins, 72, of 126 Summitt St., Martinsville, died Saturday, March 13, 1993 at Memorial Hospital of M.H.C. N.C. She was born November 10, 1920 in Stokes County, the daughter of the late John F. Tuttle and Sarah T. Tuttle. She was a retired employee of E.I. DuPont as a Textile worker for 27 years and was of the Baptist faith and attended Walnut Cove Elementary School and Walnut Cove High School. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ilene) Newman, Spencer; son, George M. Collins Jr., Collinsville; sisters, Mrs. Sam (Nora) Thompson, Durham, N.C.; and Mrs. F.B. (Virgie) Hill, Martinsville; brother, Hobart A. Tuttle, Bassett; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at McKee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the daughter's home, State Rt. 630, Spencer. Interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
