OBIT RULEY, JOAN LEIGHTON

RULEY, Joan Leighton, 45, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, March 13, 1993 in a Roanoke hospital. She was born September 4, 1947 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of Helen Buchanan Leighton of Buena Vista and the late L. E. Leighton. Surviving are her husband, Carl E. Ruley; one daughter, Marcia G. Trimboli and her husband, Paul Christopher Trimboli of Glasgow; one brother, Donald R. Leighton and his wife, Kay Leighton of Memphis, Tenn.; three nieces and one great-nephew. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Harold Bowman. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at any time at their residence. Memorials may be given to Southwest Virginia Ronald McDonald House or American Cancer Society.
