More people boarded planes at the Raonoke Regional Airport last month than a year earlier. Airport officials said Monday that 21,353 passengers got on planes here in February, up 5.9 percent from a year ago. That was a 1.5 percent drop from January's 21,690 travelers.Other statistics added this week to the regional indicators show:
Appalachian Power Co. reported it sold 286,924,426 kilowatt hours of electricity in February up 1.4 percent compared to 282,984,974 hours in the same month last year. The figure was down 8 percent from January's 312,942,247.
