OBIT WADE, NANCY HALL
WADE, Nancy Hall, 71, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, March 13, 1993. She
was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Wade Sr. She was a veteran of
the United States Army. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist
Church where she was active in the choir and usher board. She put in more than
a 1000 hours as a volunteer at the VA Medical Center. She was chaplain of the
D.A.V. McKinzey Chapter No. 3 and a member of the Women's Auxiliary V.F.W.
Survivors include one son, James M. Wade Jr., Roanoke; three sisters, Melinda
Claxton Cephas, Lexington, Va., Adina Green, Washington, D.C., and Mabel H.
Pittman, Jackson, Miss.; one grandson, 3rd Class OCS, Willard James Wade,
Norfolk, Va.; a niece, a host of nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral
services will be held Friday 3 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Charles Roberts officiating. Interment in Fair View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
