VA. INTERMONT HOLDS TEACHERS WORKSHOPS
The education department at Virginia Intermont College will offer a workshop for classroom teachers from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the J.F. Hicks Library on campus.Sessions will include parent involvement, cultural diversity and school reform. The presenters will be Julie Wyett, a teacher from Livonia, Mich., who has done graduate study on parent involvement; Vicki Hamilton, principal of the new Davidson (N.C.) Elementary School which was chosen as an "Education 2000 Exemplary School," and Mary Wyett, an inner-city kindergarten teacher from Detroit, Mich.
