WRITER JAMES STILL WILL GIVE READING
Appalachian writer James Still will read from his novels, short stories and poems at a program at Virginia Highlands Community College at 8 p.m. Tuesday while guitarist and singer Randy Wilson provides musical interludes.It is part of the school's Arts Array program and will be held in Room 605. The program is free and will be followed by a reception and book-signing hosted by the Appalachian Center for Poets and Writers.
Still has lived for nearly 60 years in rural Knott County, Ky. His work includes "River of Earth," "Pattern of a Man," "The Run for the Elbertas," "The Wolfpen Poems" and "Hounds on the Mountain." - Southwest bureau
