OBIT ARNOLD, PEARL W.
ARNOLD, Pearl W., 69, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, March 17, 1993, in a local hospital. She was a native of Bland County and an area resident for many years. She was a retired claims adjustor with Gay & Taylor Insurance Company. She was a member of the Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, the Virginia Insurance Claims Association and the Insurance Women's Association. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Linda Horne, Salem; a granddaughter, Susan Horne, Salem; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, Thursday noon to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The body will then be taken to Riffe's Funeral Home, Narrows, where the family will receive friends Friday night. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, in Fairview Cemetery, Narrows. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. John M.
