OBIT MARTIN, A. RAYMOND JR.

MARTIN, A. Raymond Jr., ("Ray"), 46, of Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, March 16, as a result of an automobile accident. He was a member of the Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, a graduate of the College of William and Mary, an Army veteran, a member of the Rocky Mount Lions Club and was employed by Yokohama Tire in Salem in the Management Training Program. Surviving are his parents, A. Raymond and Katherine Scaggs Martin of Rocky Mount; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret S. and Fred O'Bryant of Charlottesville; a stepsister and husband, Peggy Y. and Lynwood D. Inge of Midlothian; a stepbrother and wife, Mark M. and Patricia Young of Lynchburg. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. from Lynch Chapel with the Rev. William Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in High Street Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Thursday where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
