OBIT DAVIS, ESTELLE SNIDER

DAVIS, Estelle Snider, 68, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, March 14, 1993 at her home. She was born in Rockbridge County on April 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Henry L. Snider and Nannie Berry Snider. She was a retired private duty nurse and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce D. Chittum, Buena Vista; one son, Steven M. Davis, Alexandria; one sister, Marion S. Barger, Shalimar, Fla.; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Lomax Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Bain and the Rev. Billy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in New Providence Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lomax Funeral Home.
