LAID-OFF WORKERS TO GET INFORMATION ON SERVICES

The New River Valley Response team will hold a series of informational meetings today to help workers losing jobs at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.

The meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. in building 216. Each will last about 90 minutes.

The sessions will provide the laid-off workers with information about unemployment benefits, job retraining, social services and counseling.
