NEW RIVER VALLEY SOCCER CLUB'S SOCCER BALL PLANNED FRIDAY NIGHT

It's a Soccer Ball for soccer balls.

The New River Valley Soccer Club will hold the second annual Soccer Ball sock hop to raise funds to help build soccer fields for more than 1,000 boys and girls who participate in the sport in the valley.

The club hopes to match last year's $4,000 at the '50s-style dance, which will be held in Custom Catering at 902 Patrick Henry Drive in Blacksburg.

The dance will be from 8 p.m. until midnight on Friday.

Don and the Deltones will provide the live music as folks relive the reelin' and rockin' days of the 1950s. There will be a dance contest, a prize for the best '50s costume and door prizes.

Cost is $30 per couple and $20 for singles. Space is limited and reservations are preferred. For more information and for reservations, call 552-8667.
