OBIT BOWMAN, RICHARD H.

BOWMAN, Richard H., 89, of Crawley, W.Va., died Wednesday, March 17, 1993 in Greenbrier Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Hunt Bowman, two sisters, Eleanor Delong and Elsie Moomaw, two brothers, Samuel T. and George P. Bowman. Mr. Bowman served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham. He was a past member of the W.Va. House of Delegates, former Gulf Oil distributor in Rainelle, W.Va., president of the Royal Crown Bottling Company, Rainelle Lions Club, Rainelle United Methodist Church, Midland Trail Lodge # 166 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and a member of the Benikedem Temple at Charleston, W.Va. Surviving is a brother, Dr. Moffet H. Bowman of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Services and entombment will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Memorial Mausoleum at Clintonville, W.Va. with the Revs. Phyllis Harvey and Clyde Gum. Friends may call Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smathers Funeral Chapel in Rainelle, W.Va.
