To Ralph Smith for letting eight women take over his living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two sitting rooms, two bathrooms and the whole yard. (He lives in Rockledge, photo above, that big house right underneath the Mill Mountain Star.) Thanks, too, to his 12-year-old son, Taylor, who kept everyone entertained by playing his drums.And to Karen Waldron, her llamas, horses, dog Gunnie and cat Icarus for letting us use her Shawsville farm, Bent Tree, as a shooting location, and her private dance studio as a dressing room.
