OBIT LESTER, JOHN MARVIN

LESTER, John Marvin, 76, of Riner, passed away Friday, March 19, 1993 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Alma Mitchell Lester, Riner; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joan and A. J. Boyd, Floyd, Brenda Lester Hale, Willis; three grandsons, Brad Boyd, Floyd, Jason Hale, U.S. Navy, Judson Hale, Roanoke; two sisters, Alva Reed, Roanoke, Velma Peters, Alum Ridge; one brother, Ward Lester, Roanoke. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Valley Church with the Rev. Lester Reed, Rev. Ralph Spradling, and Rev. Michael Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemtetery. Arrangements by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
