A RULER FOR CLERKS' KNUCKLES?

I CONTINUE to be irritated by the undesirable grammar of the employees of discount stores and fast-food restaurants in the Roanoke Valley. Employers, please tell your employees that the plural of "cent" is "cents!" Even friends visiting in this area have remarked about this habit here.
