A RULER FOR CLERKS' KNUCKLES?
I CONTINUE to be irritated by the undesirable grammar of the employees of discount stores and fast-food restaurants in the Roanoke Valley. Employers, please tell your employees that the plural of "cent" is "cents!" Even friends visiting in this area have remarked about this habit here.Cleanliness, appearance and efficient service are not the only characteristics that contribute to making a favorable impression on customers.
