TROUT FISHERMAN DROWNS IN STREAM IN PATRICK COUNTY
A Campbell County man drowned in a Patrick County stream while trout fishing Sunday afternoon, according to Patrick County Sheriff Jay Gregory. The man was identified as Glenn Arnold Reynolds, a 67-year-old retired correctional superintendent from Rustburg.
The sheriff said Reynolds had been fishing from a culvert where Round Mountain Creek rushes under a mountain road near Meadows of Dan. Two friends who had driven by saw Reynolds bending over the water with a bucket. When they returned, Reynolds was lying in the creek. They pulled him out but were unable to revive him, the sheriff said.
No foul play is suspected, the sheriff said.
