OBIT ARTHUR, DENNIS OSBURN

ARTHUR, Dennis Osburn, 72, of Route One, Bedford, died Sunday, March 21, 1993 in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County on December 12, 1920, a son of the late Dennis Lawrence Arthur and Florrie West Leftwich Arthur. He was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church, a veteran of World War II, and was a retired employee of Barker-Jennings, Inc., Lynchburg. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mitchell Arthur; a daughter and son-in-law, Icer Arthur Litvin and Stuart L. Litvin of Lexington; twin grandsons, Seth Aaron Litvin and Ethan David Litvin; a brother, Phillip H. Arthur, Bedford; two sisters, Mary G. "Sue" McGhee, Peggy A. Key, both of Bedford. Graveside services will be conducted today (Tuesday) March 23, 1993 at 3 p.m. in Nicopolis United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. Richard N. Boyce, Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass Jr., and Rev. Robert E. Maas officiating. The family suggest memorials be made to the Free Clinic of the Bedford Christian Ministries or the Bedford Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
