OBIT HUNT, TROY GALAX

HUNT, Troy, 87, of 114 Locust St., Galax, died Monday, March 22, 1993. He was a retired owner of the Big Chief Market and a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Lions Club of Galax. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Stewart Hunt; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine Overing, Seminole, Fla., Janet and Jack Norman, Sebastian, Fla., Doris and Dick Hitchens, Melbourne, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Ayako ("Bo") Hunt, Galax; one sister, Helen Farley, Sheffield Lake, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and close friends. The funeral service will be held at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel Thursday, March 25, 1993 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ken Caraway officiating. Interment in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax.
