ROANOKE MAN FOUND DEAD AT HOUSING COMPLEX
The bullet-riddled body of a Roanoke man was found by passersby at the Lansdowne housing complex in Northwest Roanoke early Wednesday, police said.Ivory Francis Williams, 29, had been shot at least five times. He was wounded in the chest, torso, leg and forehead by a small-caliber weapon.
Police said four people spotted Williams' body lying face down on the sidewalk as they drove in the 2400 block of Center Avenue Northwest at 2:42 a.m.
One witness reported hearing five shots before two men ran to a new red car and fled.
Police said Wednesday afternoon they had made no arrests and had not established a motive in the slaying.
