`BIG RIVER' PERFORMANCE AT GALAX HIGH SCHOOL
The Galax Theatre Guild will perform the award-winning musical "Big River," Friday through Sunday in the Galax High School auditorium.
Reserve seats are $6, general admission is $5 and students up to age 12, $3. Tickets are available in The Gazette, Declaration and Carroll News newspaper offices and from cast and production members.
The musical is based on Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." The music and lyrics are by the late Roger Miller, famous for his "King of the Road" song.
The Friday and Saturday performances will be at 8 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m. - Southwest bureau
