CHILDREN'S ART WORKSHOP APRIL 17

A workshop for children, "Making Art From Memory," will be held April 17 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Art Museum of Western Virginia.

Kids will work with artist Gregory Henry, who will discuss how his paintings and sculpture of farm animals evoke memories from his rural past. A painting workshop follows, where they will create scenes from their memories of things they will want to remember later.

Children may want to bring to the workshop photographs or musical tapes that trigger thoughts of the past.
