OBIT GRIGGS, MARGARET LAYNE

GRIGGS, Margaret Layne, 73, of Roanoke, died Thursday, March 25, 1993, at her home. Surviving are her husband, Elmo A. Griggs; daughter, Margaret Ellen Beamer, Elma, N.Y.; son, Dr. E. Allen Griggs, Martinsville, Ind.; mother, Nannie Walker Layne, Roanoke; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the graveside, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 29, 1993, with the Rev. John D. Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
