Presently, you label two pages as opinion and commentary. However, your opinion and commentary begins on the front page and continues throughout the newspaper.
Recently, you headlined defense cutbacks as "Clinton accepts cutbacks," when the story detailed cutbacks proposed by our beloved Congress in addition to those ordered by Slick Willie himself. Page after page is filled with slanted "news" stories which promote your liberal-leftist agenda.
Whatever happened to the journalistic principle of telling the news without comment until the above-mentioned editorial pages? Most of us merely take your paper for the local news, food specials, coupons and the comics (with the exception of Doonesbury, which is rarely funny).
Clean up your act and you'll sell more newspapers. Continue the same old liberal drivel and you may yet fail, despite being the only game in town. DICK LAMBERT EAGLE ROCK
