The 15-year-old said she was walking on Marshall Avenue Southwest on Saturday about 11 p.m. when a black car drove past her twice.
She said a man got out of the vehicle and held a gun to her head before forcing her into the car.
He then shoved her into the rear seat and climbed in behind her. The driver pulled the car into a parking lot at Sixth Street and Marshall Avenue.
The teen-ager told police the man beside her held the gun to her head and raped her.
During the attack, the man put the gun down on the floorboard, she said. She told police she managed to grab the gun, pointed it toward the assailant's back and fired it five times before rolling the man off her.
Police asked hospitals to notify them if a gunshot victim was treated. As of Monday afternoon, no gunshot victims fitting the description had been reported to police.
In other police reports:
Police found a man with a bleeding hand roaming around the interior of Booth's Supply Co. in Southeast Roanoke early Sunday. Adam Jeremy Clifton, 18, of Bowman Street Southeast was charged with burglary to commit larceny.
