OBIT KILLINGER, BAIN K. SR.
KILLINGER, Bain K. Sr., 84, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, March 29, 1993,
in a local hospital. He was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church
for 30 years, a former member of Villa Heights Methodist Church, and was
retired from the Norfolk & Western Railway. Surviving are his wife, Sallie C.
Killinger, a son, Bain K. Killinger Jr., and a daughter, Dorothy A. Killinger,
all of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Karol J. Lurch of Stafford, Va., Karl
David Killinger and Elain Killinger of Atlanta, Ga., Davy Lee Robertson of
Roanoke; three great-grandsons, David L. Lurch III and Christopher M. Lurch,
both of Stafford, Va., Charlie Wills of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Blanche and
Edith Killinger, both of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews, including R.
Bates Killinger of Roanoke; and a cousin, Garnett Ager of Wytheville. In lieu
of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the
Cave Spring United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4505 Hazel Drive S.W.,
Roanoke, Va., 24018. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from 5 until 7
p.m. Tuesday.
