OBIT KING, LOLENE HOLLAND
KING, Lolene Holland, 86, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday evening, March
27, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. She was the widow of Emmett W. King, a member
of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church and a retired nurse and former
operating room supervisor at Jefferson Hospital. Surviving are her daughter
and son-in-law, Nancy K. and Daniel H. Marston, Bristol, Va.; two brothers, E.
Warren Holland, Roanoke, Jack Holland, Petersburg; sisters, Mrs. Sam (Beulah)
Simpson, and Mrs. Frank (Martha) Peake, both of Rocky Mount; Mrs. Frank
(Frances) Oliver of Roanoke, Mrs. Claude (Edith) Overstreet, Bedford, Doris
Taylor and her husband, Eugene, Roanoke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Evergreen Burial Park
11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Gregory L. Adkins. The family suggests memorials
be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel where the family will receive
friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday.
