OBIT PAXTON, BESSIE EDWARDS

PAXTON, Bessie Edwards, 80, of 2023 Lee St., South Covington, died Saturday, March 27, 1993. She was the widow of Raymond C. Paxton. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Guy Sink of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Linda Waugaman and her husband, C. W. of Daleville; Kevin Fringer and his wife, Lynne, and Michael Fringer, all of Roanoke; five great-grandchildren, Sheila and Travas Waugaman, Lauren, Jessica and Jamie Fringer; two sisters, Ellanor Hartman, Cleo Vaness, both of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Sonny and Helen Lockridge of South Covington. Funeral service will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, with the Rev. John Ashley and the Rev. Bob Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in Alleghany Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
