BEDFORD COUNTY MAN DIES AFTER CAR CRASH

A Moneta man died Wednesday night after a single-car accident in Bedford County.

State police said Dennis Roger Kidd, 36, died of his injuries at Roanoke Memorial Hospital at 11:30 p.m., about three hours after the accident.

The accident happened on Virginia 655 in the Diamond Hill section of the county. State police said his car ran off the right side of the road, crossed back over to the left side, hit a tree and overturned.

It was not known whether Kidd was wearing a seat belt.
