OBIT WILLIS, RUBY LULA JOHNSON
WILLIS, Ruby Lula Johnson, 65, of Ferrum, died Thursday, December 31, 1992 in the Community Hospital of the Roanoke Valley. She was born December 2, 1927, a daughter of the late William Homer and Roxanna Johnson of Ferrum. She was preceded in death by five brothers, William Johnson, George Johnson, Roy Johnson, Howard Johnson and Herbert (Jack) Johnson; also four sisters, Carrie Johnson, Lottie Johnson Hale, Hazel Johnson Shively and Florence Estelle Johnson. Surviving are her husband, Silas Edward Willis of Ferrum; a daughter, Linda G. Willis of Montvale; two sisters, Hettie Johnson Wade of Roanoke and Elsie Johnson Westmoreland of Greensboro, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, from Lynch Chapel, Rocky Mount with Elder W. Lane Carter and Rev. Billy Shively officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
