BLESSARD, RONALD BARRY
BLESSARD, Ronald Barry, 44, of Roanoke, died Saturday, January 2, 1993. He was born April 7, 1948, and died at the VA Medical Center after an extended battle with an illness. Surviving are a brother, C. H. Blessard Jr., Roanoke; a sister, Mary F. Blessard, San Francisco, Calif.; and two very close and dear friends since childhood, who helped take care of him throughout his lengthy battle with illness, Ronnie and Carolyn Robertson. He was preceded in death by his father, C. H. Blessard Sr., his mother, Mary M. Blessard, and a sister, Pamela C. Blessard. Ronald proudly served his country during the Vietnam era. At Ronald's request, no viewing, visitation or memorial service will be held. He will be buried beside his mother and father in Cedar Lawn Cemetery with only his immediate family in attendance. Ronald would like to bid a fond farewell to all his friends and loved ones who were there for him when he needed them; and to let them know he no longer feels the pain. The family would also like to extend their warm and most sincere thanks to the nursing staff at the veterans' Medical Center for providing the best of care to Ronald, and also to the many patients he befriended while he was there. Arrangements are by Oakey's North Chapel.
