OBIT SMITH, OTTO WILLIAM

SMITH, OTTO WILLIAM, 87, of Dublin, died Wednesday, January 6, 1993 in Radford Community Hospital. Born in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late William Anderson Smith and Gracie Mae Fortune Smith. He is survived by his wife, Helen Lane Smith; two sons, Edgar (Sonny) Smith and John Smith, both of Dublin; two daughters, Evelyn Smith, Dublin, Mrs. Hensel (Audna) McCoy, Roanoke; one brother, Ellis E. (Jack) Smith, Norfolk; four sisters, Louise C. Morris, Ind., Christine Hedge and Rita Shumate, both of Richmond, Zula Roseberry, Newburn; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. from the Mt. View United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visiting will be Friday afternoon after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
