ROANOKE MAN SHOT DURING ARGUMENT

A 25-year-old Roanoke man was listed in serious condition after being shot in the left temple at close range Thursday night.

Police said David Smith of Barberry Avenue Northwest was outside his apartment complex about 11:10 when an argument started among Smith and three other men. The fighting ended when Smith was shot with a handgun.

The bullet entered Smith's left temple and lodged behind his eye. Smith was treated at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he remained Friday.

A 17-year-old is being sought by police.
