STUDENT PUBLISHING WORKSHOP SCHEDULED

A student publishing workshop is being planned for Feb. 6 at Virginia Highlands Community College from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Poets Bill Brown and Malcolm Glass will lead sessions aimed at showing participants how to put together a journal of student writing. The program is aimed at both teachers and students.

Participants will be asked to bring samples of student writing, artwork or photography that will be published in this first statewide journal.

Fees are $5 for Virginia Community Colleges Association members, $10 for non-members and $2 for students until Jan. 22, including a boxed lunch. They will be $10, $15 and $2 after Jan. 22. Further information is available from Judy K. Miller or Helen Wilson at the college.
