SCIENCE FOUNDATION MOVING TO ARLINGTON
The National Science Foundation signed a lease Friday for a new building in Arlington, ending two years of wrangling over whether the federal agency would leave its downtown Washington headquarters. The foundation began moving equipment into the specially designed building Friday, said an aide to Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Fairfax County. The agency was scheduled to move this month, but until Friday had made no move to do so.
Wolf has said the foundation dragged its heels in hopes the move would be canceled. - Associated Press
