BAD WIRING RULED CAUSE OF MOBILE HOME FIRE
A Jan. 5 mobile home fire originally investigated as a possible arson was
caused by faulty electrical wiring, according to the Montgomery County
Sheriff's Office. The fire broke out at about 7:50 p.m. at 1103 Arden Lane,
the home of David W. Smith. No one was at home when the fire was reported. The
double-wide home was not destroyed, but was so heavily burned and damaged by
smoke it probably is a total loss, investigators said.
