OBIT BASHAM, VIRGINIA E.

BASHAM, Virginia E., of Roanoke, died Monday in the VA Medical Center in Salem. She was a retired Army veteran of World War II with over 20 years of service. Miss Basham was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church. Surviving are a nephew and his wife, Robert and Mary Poindexter, Boones Mill; two great-nephews, Todd Poindexter, Richmond, and Eric Poindexter, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Alpheus W. Potts officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke.
