Brendle's Inc., an Elkin, N.C.-based discount retailer with stores in the Roanoke Valley, on Thursday announced a restructuring that it said reflects a change in philosophy from a financial-oriented management to a "back to basics retail" style, led by the people who led Brendle's during the profitable 1970s and 1980s.
