OBIT-POWELL, BERTHA NASH
POWELL, Bertha Nash, 91, of Roanoke, died Thursday, January 14, 1993. She
was a member of Melrose Baptist Church and was the widow of Leon G. Powell.
She is survived by one son, Elbert B. Powell, Roanoke; one daughter and
son-in-law, Elnora and Ernest Graham, Cloverdale; two grandchildren and
spouses, Sharon and Alan Dunnagan, Clemmons, N.C., Gary and Sherry Graham,
Troutville; four great-grandchildren, Ryane Dunnagan, Clemmons, N.C., Amber,
Kristin, Tyler Graham, all of Troutville; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Harvey,
Appomattox, Mrs. Doris Mason, Chesapeake, Mrs. Lynette Reynolds, Spout
Springs; one brother, Elliott Nash, Appomattox. Funeral services will be
conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 1 p.m. Saturday, January 16, with the
Rev. Larry E. Sprouse, Jr. and Dr. Carl A. Collins, Jr. officiating. Burial
will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North
Chapel, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
