HODGES, Oakie C., 87, of Rocky Mount, died Thursday morning, January 14, 1993 in Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born February 22, 1905, the daughter of the late Henry and Liddie Chitwood. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Elsie and Frank Fralin of Rocky Mount; one son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Pat Hodges of Norfolk; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 1993 from Lynch Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Ron Hill and Robert Mitzelfelt with interment to follow in the Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation may begin after 2 p.m. Friday at Lynch Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
