SPENCE, Jacob Fred, 83, of Christiansburg passed away Wednesday, January 13, 1992 at Radford Community Hospital. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Shirley Spence, Baltimore, Md.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lula and James Boyd, Radford, Mary and Walter Turman, Riner; Martha and William Altizer, Christiansburg; one brother, Claude Spence, Willis; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 1993 at Christiansburg Wesleyan Church with the Rev. David Hurd and the Rev. Raymond Underwood officiating. Burial will be in the Willis Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday, where the family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd is in charge of arrangements.
