Mr. and Mrs. William W. Zimmerman of Hardy, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cathy, to Preston Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonza R. Smith of Vinton.

Miss Zimmerman is a 1990 graduate of William Byrd High School and will receive a Bachelor of BusinessAdministration degree in Finance from James Madison University in May 1993.

Mr. Smith is a 1989 graduate ofWilliam Byrd High School, attendedFerrum College, and will receive aBachelor of Science degree in Political Science from James Madison University in May 1993.
