FRANKLIN ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Welford A. Franklin, of Bedford, Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, November 28, 1992. They were married on November 27, 1942. The reception, hosted by their children and grandchildren, was held at Bedford Baptist Church. Mr. Franklin is retired from Piedmont Label Co. Mrs. Franklin, the former Opal Bays, was an employee of Bedford Grocery Co. for many years until their closing in 1977. They have one daughter, Phyllis F.Carimi, of Houston, Texas; and one son, Earl H. Franklin, of Raleigh, N.C., four grandsons, and one granddaughter.
