ELECTION IS OVER; FORGET DRAFT-DODGING
IN RESPONSE to Ed Baker's letter of Jan. 7, "No honoring a draft dodger as president":I have to ask - isn't the election over? It has been weeks since the election, and here we go again with "draft dodger" remarks.
Apparently not everyone feels as you do, Mr. Baker. After all, President-elect Bill Clinton will soon be our next president.
I disagree that loyalty had anything to do with Clinton's decision. Let's face it, he was a very young man, trying to finish his education. I don't feel we should continue to knock him down for this. That education could make Clinton the best president we ever had. LINDA McGUIRE HILLSVILLE
