RAILROAD COMMITTED TO PROMOTING SAFETY
AS AN EMPLOYEE of Norfolk Southern, I am concerned about all the negative publicity we are receiving from the Henry County tragedy. We share the grief of the families, but to blame the railroad will not ease the pain or bring the young men back. What people do not realize is the major concern for safety this company displays for its employees as well as the general public. Literally, millions of dollars are spent each year to promote safety.
It is time people take responsibility for their own actions and take heed of the danger of trespassing on railroad property. STEVEN E. McCLUNG BOONES MILL
